Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is an integral part of treating patients with lung disease (e.g. COPD, Lung fibrosis), and patients after heart attacks, coronary bypass surgeries, and strokes. Using a multidisciplinary approach, including health education, exercise therapy, smoking cessation, medication review, and nutritional advice, patients can improve their functional capacity, shortness of breath, and overall quality of life. With state-of-the-art rehab equipments found in every major and small hospital in the US, and concomitant testing of blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and cardiac monitoring, patients can safely improve their exercise tolerance.
Most smokers know the harms of smoking, yet they continue to smoke. Many smokers try to quit every year, yet less than 5% succeed on their own.
Using the latest ACCP tools and guideline, the Cooper/Clayton method, and a combination of medications, behavioral therapy and education to provide the best chance for heavy smokers to quit and overcome nicotine addiction.
We also provide inpatient Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine consultations. Special imaging studies and procedures (Bronchoscopy, Lung biopsy, and Lavage) are performed at any of the hospitals affiliated with our practice.
At our sleep center, we can help identify the underlying conditions causing sleep disorders and offer treatment. We provide home testing with state-of-the-art equipment:
